The Gayhead Elementary Playground Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Current grades K-2 playground.
Our 3rd & 5th grade playground.
Current 4th grade play area.
Penny Wars have come to Gayhead!
Round One:
For a week during lunch, each grade gets to go to war for the playground.
Each penny is worth 1 point - so you want to put as many pennies as you can in your grade's jar.
All other money are worth negative points (a nickel is -5, a dime -10, a quarter -25, a dollar -100, etc.).
You want to put these coins/dollars into the other jars to try and make the other grades lose.
Round Two:
The winning grade from round one is now split out by classroom, and the war continues.
Pennies are still positive points, all other coins and bills are negative points.
At the end of round two, the classroom with the most points wins a pizza party!
